Globe bar is the terrible backpackers bar in Auckland your guaranteed to find yourself in....

Luge'in in Rotorua involves a flimsy helmet, a big hill, a solid plastic cart (with no brakes sometimes) and a large bag of fun!

So the battle was on. who would win? Would the chimpy bulk give him more momentum? Or would my wily frame give me better cornering abilities...?!?

And their off...

... and Steve wins 5-1! Tim claims some kid got in way...

It rained, the guy said, "its raining lads" - "why do you shut?" - "No, you'll just get wet" - "So!"

It's a kinda smooth cement, lovely and soft to spill onto like Tim did!

'Te Whakarewarewatanga O Te Ope Taua A Wahiao' is the full name of the park!

It looked like a scene from a Sci-Fi film!

The little one on the left is the Prince of Wales Feathers geyser which is an indicator geyser.

Which means that when the Prince blows (spot the topical gag!) the other one follows shortly after

The cold water of the river is a contrast to the hot thermal pools!

Gives a good idea of the size!

Each beam is beautifully carved by hand. You can watch them carving artifacts in the museum here

Or 'The Mount' as its known locally!
